Mejez El Bab
The Mejez El Bab agricultural area is irrigated since 1985. It is located in the upstream side part of the lower Valley of Wadi Mejerda, attached to the Governorate of Beja, with annual average rain of around 450 mm. The potential evapotranspiration is estimated at approximately 1420 mm. The climatic deficit is thus 970 mm justifying the irrigation. The altitude of irrigated area of Mejez el Bab ranges between 50 and 60 m above sea level.
